UC Davis Chinese majors Van Nguyen and Matthew Reese participated in the 2018 SF Regional Preliminary Contest of the 17th Chinese Bridge-Chinese proficiency competition. Matthew placed 3rd and Van placed 2nd.
Van then moved on to win tenth place overall in the American division, and a full scholarship to the Chinese Bridge Summer camp.
